| (Right)This was my very first Traditional Lead climb. The climb is called "Mother's Flake" in Joshua Tree National Park. J-Tree to those who know and love it. What a great day that was. Jamie and I went down there on Spring Break and Climbed with Woody Stark and James Foote (Jamie's dad). These two guys have been climbing in J-Tree since before it was made a National Monument. Really cool cats.... |  |

| (Above)The early days when Skip and I should have, in all reality, died. Here we are "rapp'n Goat" as we used to say. Goat Rock is a huge overhanging rock in in Castle Rock State Park. If you will notice, we were rappelling off of a single line like a coupla numb-skulls. But hey, we didn't know any better and we are still here to tell the stories. Kid's, do not do this.
